Welcome To Kalkaska

If hiking, fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, biking, hiking, golfing, horseback riding, mushroom hunting, bird spying, or leaf peeping is your thing, we welcome you to visit us in Kalkaska.

Home of the National Trout Festival for over 80 years, and the North Country Scenic Trail for hikers has designated Kalkaska as a “Trail Town”. Not only are hiking trails available, but equestrian, mountain bike, ORV, and snowmobile trails as well. Complete with three golf courses, hotels, restaurants, and a short drive to Alpine and Nordic ski facilities, there are year-round opportunities for recreation. Come stay with us and don’t forget to get your picture taken at the Trout Fountain!
