Welcome To Manton

Manton lies between the Pere Marquette State Forest and the Manistee National Forest; it is a great place for year-round recreation of all kinds! Lake Billings is nestled within the city and provides fishing, swimming beaches, boating, canoeing and campgrounds. The relatively rural area supports a charming downtown with boutique shopping and a large outdoor pavilion stage with surrounding park. Spring time offers excellent morel mushroom hunting and the fall season provides beautiful views.

The Manton Pathway & Garden

A 1.5-mile nature walk where you will see anything from birds to small animals. There are bridges to cross and benches staggered along the way.

Winter Time Fun

It is not an exaggeration to say that you can snowmobile and cross country ski right outside your back door. Because snowmobile trails criss-cross throughout the City of Manton, they have designated routes for safe passage. The snowmobile trail just north of Manton leads all the way to the Mackinac Bridge!
