Fife Lake – The Best 4th in the North 

Fife Lake is proud to put on The Best 4th in The North this holiday weekend, with this year’s theme, Those Were The Days promising a series of fun-filled events from July 4th to July 7th. Whether you’re a local resident or a visitor, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here’s a detailed guide to all the festivities planned for this special weekend:

 

July 4th: Independence Day Kickoff

The celebrations begin bright and early on July 4th with activities for all ages.

8 AM – Warrior Run: Start your day with a healthy dose of exercise. Join the 10k and 5k run/walk organized by Forest Area Athletics. Races will begin at the Fife Lake Elementary School.

8 AM – Noon: Fire Department Open House: Visit the Township Hall to celebrate the Fire Department’s 5-year anniversary. Enjoy coffee, donuts, games, and glow-sticks while learning more about our brave firefighters.

9 AM – 4 PM: Farmer’s Market: Head over to Memorial Park to explore a variety of local produce, crafts, and more. It’s a great way to support local farmers and artisans.

10:30 AM – 3 PM: Pick-a-Ticket Raffle Sales: Purchase raffle tickets at Lakeside Park and get a chance to win fantastic prizes.

11 AM – 5 PM: Buffalo BBQ & Strawberry Social : Fife Lake Historical Society, Fife Lake Museum, Forest Area Color Guard.

Noon – 1 PM: Live Music: Delight in a live performance by the Forest Area School Band.

2 PM: Best 4th in the North Parade: Don’t miss the highlight of the day! Watch the parade on State Street and cheer for the best theme presentations and patriotic displays. Special prizes will be awarded for the best kids’ decorated bikes and helmets.

5 PM – 6 PM: The Digger: Enjoy more live music at Lakeside Park Gazebo.
6 PM – 8 PM: Straight Forward
8 PM – Until Fireworks: LifeTheory

Dusk: Grand Finale Fireworks: Conclude the day with a spectacular fireworks display over beautiful Fife Lake.

July 5th: More Festivities

The celebrations continue on July 5th with more activities to enjoy.

4 PM – 7 PM: Farmer’s Market: The local market continues at Memorial Park, offering more fresh produce and unique crafts.

11AM – 4 PM: Pick-a-Ticket Raffle Sales: Lakeside Park

Noon – 2 PM: Historical Guided Walk: Join the Fife Lake Genealogy Group for an insightful guided walk through the village’s historical sites, starting from the Historical Schoolhouse.

Noon – 3 PM: Kids Games & Races: Fun-filled activities for children will be held at Lakeside Park. Bring the kids along for an afternoon of games and races.

4 PM – 6 PM: Street Dance: Put on your poodle skirt or your letterman jacket and head to Merritt Street by Memorial Park for a dance party featuring music from the 1950s and 60s. DJ Mikey will keep the energy high and the dance floor busy.

 

July 6th: Classic Cars and Timber Art

 

9 AM – 2 PM: Annual Car Show: Car enthusiasts will love this event on State Street. Enjoy a display of classic cars, win trophies, and participate in door prize giveaways.

11 AM – 1 PM: Elvis Tribute by Jake Slater: Enjoy a nostalgic performance by Elvis tribute artist Jake Slater. This event will take place on State Street and is sure to bring back memories of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

9 AM – 4 PM: Farmer’s Market: The market continues with more opportunities to purchase fresh produce and unique items.

9 AM – 2 PM: Chainsaw Art: Visit The Upper Bar & Grill Lot to witness chainsaw artist Lonnie Glines create stunning sculptures. He will sculpt at 9 AM, 11 AM, and 1 PM, with raffle tickets sold throughout the event for the first sculpture of the day. The drawing will be held at 2 PM, and you do not need to be present to win. All raffle proceeds go towards the fireworks.

9 AM – 3 PM: Pick-a-Ticket Raffle Sales: More opportunities to win at Lakeside Park and enjoy live music performances.

6 PM – 9 PM: Live Music by the 4 Horsemen

8 PM: Boat Parade on Fife Lake – Sponsored by M & M Sports Center

July 7th: Winding Down

The final day of celebrations offers a chance to relax and enjoy nature.

11 AM: Guided Hike on the North Country Trail: Meet at the Mirror Lake parking lot for a guided hike. It’s a perfect way to appreciate the natural beauty of Fife Lake!

1 PM: Annual Cash Raffle: Support the fireworks by participating in the annual cash raffle at Lakeside Park Gazebo. With prizes of $1000, $300, and $200, there’s a good chance to walk away a winner! Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at various local stores.

Make your way up north to Fife Lake for a memorable 4th of July weekend!
