Welcome To Fife Lake

Fife Lake is a beautiful and exciting place to visit during any season! The 617-acre lake is open to all types of water sports, as well as exceptional fishing and swimming opportunities. Deeply rooted in the logging industry, the lake was discovered years ago by a crew creating a road between Midland and Traverse City. With a great hospitality sense to all who visit, it is a family friendly destination offering something for everyone!

Fife Lake  is well known for its “Best 4th in the North” event, when the community offers family friendly activities throughout the entire weekend. The schedule includes a parade, steam train event, car show, and a beautiful 4th of July fireworks display.

Explore the Downtown!

Downtown Fife Lake is easily walkable and is a very short distance to the shoreline of lake itself. It offers several shops and dining, not to mention the newly renovated Historical Museum and Old School House along its elaborate historical self-guided tour.

Fun in 4 Seasons

Summers in Fife Lake feature music in the park and a farmer’s market and outdoor movies in the park. There is a snowmobile trail and ice fishing for winter enthusiasts as well.
